Preparing the transom to weld on the float pods.
90% of all our Aluminum Welding is done with TIG.
A tig welded vertical uphill aluminum weld on the side of the Float pods to insure penetration and give a clean smooth surface.
After installation the Pods are sanded and painted.
Float Pods are an excellent addition to any aluminum boat. They help stabilize the back of the boat, especially if you have a large motor like the one in this picture. They also keep the back end from sitting to low in the water which allows the boat to run in very shallow water.
